A free community-based program developed by Max Biocare in late 2018, founded to help children and families access extra-curricular learning and development opportunities through events, activities, courses, and scholarships, regardless of socio-economic status or geographical location. Young Sparks aims to create social, intellectual, and enjoyable experiences through a variety of engaging activities and courses across our key learning areas; Business and Entrepreneurship, Maths and Critical Thinking (e.g. chess), Science and Nutrition, Technology, and Engineering.
While the biggest indication of success for us is seeing the smiles on kids’ and parents’ faces, we have measured our impact through some key indicators:
Launching in 2021, Nurture Central is an online platform sponsored by Max Biocare, dedicated to providing free, accurate, and evidence-based information for family health and well-being.
Our aim is to inspire, support and empower families throughout the first 1000 days of life and beyond. Featuring an expert panel of professionals in the infant, child, and maternal health space, we bring together expertise in nutrition, dietetics, research science, pediatrics, obstetrics, midwifery, and nursing, to provide the best advice possible.
We deliver this information via website articles, webinars, courses, podcasts, and interactive web-based activities.
An online Facebook community group run by the nutrition team at Max Biocare supports and educates mums-to-be, and new mums of infants and toddlers, in the area of health and nutrition. We deliver education and resources via posts, online discussions, Q&A, and courses. As of January 2022, we have almost 500 mums who participate in our Mums & Bubs Health and Nutrition Group.
We provide regular product and monetary donations to charities and community groups in need, such as Food Bank, Salvation Army, Uniting, mother’s groups, and childcare centers.
We engage in various social activities to help local communities in developing countries to make positive changes to their lives. Examples of countries we support include Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, and China. Our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities focus on the areas of healthcare, nutrition care, education, and the environment.
We have also initiated support for areas affected by natural disasters throughout the years and run an ongoing assistance program for communities that are affected by Covid-19.
